Key Responsibilities
- Enforces all company policies and procedures while promoting a safety‑first culture.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area with emphasis on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Creates and drives training and development opportunities for Process Technicians.
- Supports Engineering with part design, tool design, prototyping, mold sampling, and approval.
- Leads the dimensional reconciliation process through Master Mold setup, DOE’s, and confirmation runs.
- Develops process specifications to ensure quality output of molded products.
- Optimizes processes using data acquisition software and end‑product performance testing.
- Interacts with customers, suppliers, and internal resources to resolve technical and production challenges.
- Implements process and quality improvements using Lean and Continuous Improvement methods focused on reducing cycle time, scrap, and downtime while improving OEE.
- Troubleshoots material and processing issues to maintain consistent quality and efficiency.
- Collaborates with Production and Maintenance to analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and equipment layout for maximum efficiency.
- Partners with the Tooling Manager to ensure optimized processing and care of tools.
- Works with mold vendors to streamline onboarding of new tools and ensure ease of use in production.
- Applies statistical methods to estimate manufacturing capabilities, improve current processes, and develop tools and standards that promote shop floor autonomy.
- Leads cross‑functional teams to identify key issues, plan and implement corrective actions, and validate effectiveness.
- Creates Work Instructions and documentation for Molding best practices.

- Ability to inspire and develop a team through trust, engagement, follow‑up, and collaboration with vendors, teammates, and customers.
- Proven analytical ability to interpret data and trends and prepare written correspondence and presentations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of scientific molding concepts.
- Ability to program robots and assist with the development of end‑of‑arm tooling.
Education
- High School Diploma (required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Plastic Processing (preferred)
Licenses & Certifications
- RJG Master Molder or equivalent (required)
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt (preferred)
Experience
- Application experience with Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Kanban system design and implementation, and Total Predictive Maintenance (required).
- Minimum 5 years of structured problem‑solving experience using recognized tools and techniques (required).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an injection molding engineering or processing role with direct responsibility for the molding process (required).
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience (direct or indirect) with Process Technicians (required).
