Job summary

Aptar in Eatontown, NJ is seeking an Injection Molding Technician II to ensure molding machines run to quality standards and meet production goals. You will follow safety and housekeeping procedures, report quality and scrap issues, and support efficient operation of molding lines with in-process checks and proper line clearance.

You will handle material dispensing, mold setup/startup, color changes, and equipment like Arburg and Krauss-Maffei machines, while supporting QA approvals and MES

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of injection molding experience as a Process Technician.
• Advanced knowledge of plastic injection mold setup/processes and equipment including molding machines, robot pickers (programming), grinders, sprue pickers, color blenders and loaders.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills on injection molding machines and support equipment.
• Set up and start up ability on injection mold machines.
• Certified in mold tech development program a plus.
• Basic computer skills in Word and Excel.
• Basic knowledge of SAP
• 3-5 years of experience in Arburg and Krauss Maffei.
• Must read, write and speak English to communicate and understand information.

Responsibilities

• Ensure injection-molding machines run to quality standards and meet production goals.
• Follow safety and housekeeping procedures; report quality and scrap issues promptly.
• Operate molding lines, including in-process checks and line clearance.
• Handle material dispensing, weighing, and organizing resins; move parts to staging areas.
• Perform color changes and line purging with minimal supervision.
• Mount/dismount molds safely and connect water hoses.
• Act as Lead when needed; start up molds and ensure QA approval on time.
• Manage MES transactions (downtime coding, material consumption, declarations, scrap reporting).
• Conduct basic first article quality inspections and perform other duties as assigned.
