Paycom in Fincastle, VA is seeking a full-time assembler to operate injection molding machines, extrusion and spin welding equipment, and to assemble reels for shipment. You will finish products and package them for shipment, with duties including opening/closing doors, trimming parts, gluing, inspecting quality, and maintaining a clean workspace.

The role requires attention to detail, basic data entry, and good hand-eye coordination. Typical shift is 1st shift; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and count to fill out paperwork correctly.
• Data Entry: Accurately entering numbers in computer database.
• Attention to detail is important for quality.
• Good dexterity and hand/eye coordination.

Responsabilités

• Opening and closing machine doors and reaching to remove parts.
• Trimming and sanding of plastic parts using a variety of trimming and cutting tools.
• Gluing and assembly of plastic parts using solvents and/or nuts, bolts, and an air wrench.
• Inspecting parts for defects and correcting as needed.
• Palletizing and/or boxing parts for shipment.
• Counting and stacking parts.
• Grinding rejects and sprues.
• Refilling required supplies for next shift, i.e., solvent, inserts, boxes cardboard.
• Keeping work area clean and free of safety hazards.
• Filling out production paperwork and entering parts into our system.
• Working overtime as needed.
• Other duties as assigned and required.
