Job summary

Sanmina Corporation is seeking an Injection Molding Technician to Set up plastic injection molding machines and related equipment, troubleshoot process issues, and support production supervision. You will help ensure quality parts and efficient production by adjusting processes and documenting changes.

Ideal candidates bring a two-year technical degree or active enrollment, plus experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD and strong electrical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or active enrollment in a related program.
• Two years of Manufacturing Technician experience is a plus.
• Strong electrical aptitude; ability to work with vendors.
• Familiarity with CAD platforms (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Injection Molding Technician

Job Purpose

Set Up plastic injection molding machines and related auxiliary equipment as specified by Engineering. Troubleshoot process related problems as needed. Support the supervision of production associates.

Nature Of Duties

• Machine & Mold Setup
• Install molds, set machine parameters (temperature, pressure, time), and connect auxiliary equipment.
• Process Monitoring & Adjustment
• Monitor runs, make real-time adjustments to maintain quality, and document changes.
• Troubleshooting Diagnose and resolve issues with machines, molds, materials, or processes to prevent defects.
• Quality Control Inspect parts for defects, ensuring they meet internal and external standards.
• Maintenance Perform preventive maintenance (cleaning, lubricating) and report needed repairs on molds and equipment.
• Safety & Housekeeping Adhere to safety protocols (OSHA, Lockout/Tagout) and maintain a clean work area (5S).

What You’ll Bring

• 2 Year Technical Degree or Enrolled in a technical class or equivalent related experience
• 2 years experience as a Manufacturing Technician a plus
• Must have a strong electrical aptitude with the ability to work with vendors and suppliers.
• Strong and appropriate influencing skills and flexible work ethic is important.
• CAD Platforms. Solid Works, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Pro Engineering
