Sanmina Corporation is seeking a Sr. Injection Molding Technician for a Monday–Friday 7am–3pm shift in Wisconsin. You will work with engineers on setup, calibration, and testing to support production of molded components.

Responsibilities include mold/changeover setup, parameter calibration, process optimization, and quality inspections of parts using precision tools. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in mold setup and tooling, familiarity with plastics processing, and the ability to interpret

Qualificações

• Associate's degree or technical certification in plastics processing is highly preferred.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in mold set-up, tooling procedures, and machine processing.
• Familiarity with scientific molding/decoupled molding principles, blueprint reading, and PLC controllers.

Responsabilidades

• Machine Setup & Changeovers: Prepare machines for production by installing, aligning, and securing molds and tooling.
• Calibrate parameters such as temperature, pressure, clamp force, and injection speed according to specs.
• Monitor production runs to ensure cycle times and part dimensions meet tolerances.
• Troubleshoot molding defects (flash, short shots, sink, warpage) by adjusting process controls.
• Execute start-up and shutdown procedures safely.
• Inspect parts visually and use precision instruments to verify conformance.
• Document process changes and maintain production logs.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to safety standards (OSHA).

Sr. Injection Molding Technician, M-F 7am - 3pm

Job Purpose: Works with engineers in set-up, calibration tests and conducting experiments. Perform rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. Use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations. May include drill presses, milling machines, pad printing machines, hot stamping machines, sonic welders, assembly stations and other various machines and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup & Changeovers Prepare machines for production by installing, aligning, and securing molds and tooling using hoists and hand tools.
• Calibrate operational parameters such as temperature, pressure, clamp force, and injection speed according to product specifications.
• Process Optimization & Troubleshooting Monitor production runs to ensure cycle times and part dimensions meet tolerances.
• Troubleshoot machine errors and molding defects (e.g., flash, short shots, sink, and warpage) by adjusting process controls.
• Execute machine start-up and shut-down procedures safely.
• Quality Control Inspect parts visually and use precision measuring instruments (like calipers and micrometers) to verify product conformity.
• Document process changes, fill out setup sheets, and maintain accurate production logs.
• Equipment Maintenance & Safety
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment (e.g., dryers, chillers, and temperature control units).
• Ensure a clean and organized workspace, adhering strictly to OSHA and company safety standards.

Core Requirements & Qualifications Education

• Associate's Degree and/or technical certifications or vocational training in plastics processing are highly preferred.
• Experience: 2-4 years of hands‑on experience in mold set‑up, tooling procedures, and machine processing.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with scientific molding/decoupled molding principles, blueprint reading, and PLC controllers.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, and lift/move heavy materials or tools (typically up to 30 to 50 lbs).
