A day in the lifeYou arrive ready to keep a high-performing plastics operation moving. You scan the production floor, listen for anything unusual, and jump into action—investigating suspect equipment, applying Plan-Do-Check-Act troubleshooting, and driving to the root cause of failures. When issues surface, you dismantle machinery to reach the heart of the problem, measure components for wear or misalignment, replace worn drive or hydraulic parts, and cut/thread/install new air and hydraulic lines as needed. Before handing equipment back to production, you restart and test to validate the repair and minimize downtime.Between calls, you execute preventive maintenance across injection molding machines, auxiliary systems, robotics, custom cells, and facility-critical controls. You document findings, perform safety inspections, flag risks to people and assets, mentor teammates, and support tooling and production equipment changeovers—all while modeling safe work practices and punctual, reliable attendance.About Proto PlasticsProto Plastics in Tipp City, Ohio is a premier custom injection plastic molder with more than half a century of experience.
