Job summary

Amcor LLC seeks a production associate for our Evansville, IN facility. You will communicate with the prior shift, complete daily inspection reports, and monitor cycle times on injection molding machines in your area.

Responsibilities include gathering samples, inspecting caps and containers, weighing parts, and notifying technicians of defects. You will also ensure compliance with safety and ISO procedures while upholding Amcor’s safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Color vision within normal limits (Ishihara screening).
• Able to work in awkward positions.
• Minimum lifting of 25 lbs and ability to lift 25 lbs above shoulder height.
• Ability to grasp and manipulate small objects with either hand.
• Strong basic computer skills and attention to detail.
• Vision 20/40 or better with or without correction.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with employees from the prior shift.
• Complete the daily inspection reports.
• Check cycle times of Injection molding machines only.
• Gather samples of product from molding machines in your designated area of production.
• Inspect caps, containers, lids and laminate.
• Weigh / gauge parts and document your findings.
• Notify molding technicians of defective product.
• Place tested product in designated scrap boxes by material type.
• Call colors on start-ups and color changes.
• Check lines in molding and thermo as time allows.
• Maintain knowledge of Complaint Pro in system and ISO procedures.
• Maintain and enforce safety, environmental and Department of Health requirements.
