Amcor is seeking a Process Technician (Injection Molding) to support safe, efficient manufacturing. This entry-level position offers hands-on training, mentorship, and a clear growth path toward advanced technician and leadership roles within Operations and Manufacturing.

You will learn machining basics, process controls, quality systems, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment, with shift options and a starting pay of $22.00 per hour, with potential increases on second/third

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to use or learn basic measuring equipment, including calipers and gauges.
  • Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or alternate shifts based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with machine start-ups, shutdowns, and routine production checks.
  • Monitor equipment performance, alarms, and product flow to support stable production.
  • Load and replenish materials, manage resin and additives.
  • Conduct in-process quality inspections and document results.
  • Collaborate with Operators, Maintenance, and Quality, and communicate effectively.

As a Process Technician (Injection Molding), you will play an important role in supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. Working alongside experienced technicians and production leaders, you will develop foundational technical skills in injection molding processes, equipment operation, troubleshooting, quality systems, and continuous improvement.This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and learning new technical skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Through training and mentorship, you will build the knowledge and experience needed to grow within Operations and Manufacturing.What You'll DoSafety & Environmental ResponsibilityDemonstrate Amcor's commitment to safety by following all safety policies, procedures, and work instructions.Consistently use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and machine guarding requirements.Identify and report safety concerns, hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions promptly.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through good housekeeping practices.Support environmental and sustainability initiatives in accordance with site and company standards.Process & Machine SupportAssist with machine start-ups, shutdowns, and routine production checks under the direction of senior technicians.Monitor equipment performance, cycle consistency, alarms, and product flow to support stable production.Perform basic process adjustments, as trained and directed, to maintain quality and productivity standards.Support troubleshooting activities and escalate technical concerns when needed.Learn and follow standard operating procedures and process documentation.Material & Production SupportEnsure resin, colorants, additives, and other production materials are supplied to assigned equipment.Load and replenish materials using approved handling systems and equipment.Monitor hot-stamp foil usage and communicate potential supply or alignment concerns.Support inventory accuracy through proper material handling and documentation practices.Quality AssuranceConduct routine in-process inspections to verify products meet quality specifications.Identify and report defects such as flash, short shots, contamination, splay, or cosmetic concerns.Utilize basic measurement tools, including calipers and gauges, as trained.Accurately complete production, scrap, downtime, and quality documentation.Support a culture of quality by helping ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements.Teamwork & CommunicationCollaborate effectively with Operators, Packers, Team Leaders, Maintenance, Quality, and fellow Technicians.Communicate production, quality, and equipment concerns in a timely and professional manner.Participate in shift handoffs to ensure smooth transitions and effective information sharing.Provide production support and workstation coverage as needed.Demonstrate Amcor values through teamwork, accountability, and respect for others.What We're Looking ForMinimum QualificationsHigh monitoring production quality and machine operation.Work EnvironmentWork in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving equipment, elevated temperatures, and varying noise levels.Wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, safety footwear, gloves, and other task-specific protective equipment.Occasional exposure to manufacturing materials, resins, and odors within regulatory and safety limits.Schedule ExpectationsAbility to work 8-hour or 12-hour shifts based on operational needs.Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and scheduled shift rotations as
