Job summary

Metacycle in Wichita, KS is seeking a Manufacturing Process Technician to set up, monitor, and troubleshoot plastic injection-molding machines. You will be responsible for operation, repair, and maintenance of injection mold equipment to ensure products meet quality standards and cycle times.

The role requires reading blueprints, adjusting machine parameters, performing preventive maintenance, and documenting process changes.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude is required.
• Previous experience in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs molds when Mold Setter is not available and ensures safe mounting on machine platens.
• Sets up and verifies auxiliary equipment is functioning correctly.
• Operates hoists and related equipment safely.
• Reads and applies mold setup sheets, water lines, die height, and nozzle parameters.
• Starts machines, checks part quality, and documents results with QA confirmation.
• Maintains standard cycle times and clean, safe production areas.
