Job summary

Nordson EFD is seeking an Injection Mold Setter to install mold tools in Injection Molding Machines and prepare them for production. You will work under the shift supervisor to ensure smooth changeovers and tool readiness on the shop floor.

You will perform mold changes, verify correct molds and materials, connect hydraulic/water/electrical lines, and support safety and efficiency improvements in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to read and understand work orders.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Comfortable using hand tools and climbing ladders.

Responsibilities

• Perform job changeover by removing and storing tools for the next production run.
• Remove molds from the machine and set the new molds safely using overhead cranes.
• Ensure that the correct mold and materials are being used.
• Make hydraulic, water and electrical connections.
• Communicate problems and needs to the supervisor.
• Provide and implement ideas to improve mold setting efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Maintain good housekeeping and environmental cleanliness.

Reporting to the shift supervisor or Lead Process Technician, the Injection Mold Setter installs mold tools into Injection Molding Machines and prepares them to run.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform job changeover by removing and storing tools and auxiliary equipment to prepare machines for next production run.
• Remove molds from the machine and set the new molds safely using overhead cranes.
• Ensure that the correct mold and materials are being used.
• Make all necessary hydraulic, water and electrical connections.
• Communicate problems, needs and important information to supervisor.
• Fill in for Press Attendant as required.
• Provide and implement ideas to improve the efficiency of the mold setting process and reduce down time.
• Practice good housekeeping and appropriate measures to prevent pollution or other negative impacts on the environment.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and understand work orders
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical ability
• Ability to easily and comfortably use hand toolsAbility to climb up and down ladders frequently
