Job summary

ES Plastics in Wisconsin is seeking a hands-on Injection Molding Technician on the 2nd shift. You will install molds, set-up molding machines, stage equipment, and start production according to process engineering instructions.

Responsibilities include operating and adjusting molding machines and peripherals, reading setup sheets, ensuring quality, logging data in IQMS, and maintaining safe, clean work areas. Apprenticeship or training a plus; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in injection molding setups/processing.
• Basic mechanical abilities to handle injection molds and install them in molding machines.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and oral instructions.
• Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set-up molding machines, secondary equipment, and auxiliary equipment.
• Read and interpret process set-up sheets.
• Manipulate machine controls to achieve required process parameters.
• Install molds in molding machines with attention to safety.
• Stage and set-up secondary equipment (hot stampers, ultrasonic welders, etc.).
• Enter data into IQMS for operator and production counts.
• Ensure documentation (process sheets, mold tags, setup checklists) is completed.
• Maintain a clean press area and communicate non-productive processes.
