Job summary

Freudenberg Group in Baldwin Park, CA is seeking a Process Technician to support injection molding operations, tooling performance, and hot runner systems. You will troubleshoot, optimize processes, and ensure repeatable production with quality parts.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
RJG Master Molder I certification.
Minimum 2 years of experience in injection molding.
Knowledge of injection molding for thermoplastics.
Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
Prefer 2-year engineering degree; cleanroom & medical device exp preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up, start up, troubleshoot, and optimize injection molding processes.
Identify and resolve molding defects (flash, short shots, burns, splay, sink, voids, contamination, gate issues, cosmetic defects).
Apply knowledge of molds, tooling construction, mold alignment, parting lines, venting, gate conditions, ejector systems, and wear-related tooling issues.
Troubleshoot hot runner systems, heaters, thermocouples, nozzles, manifolds, temperature controllers, wiring, connectors, and related process symptoms.
Work with process engineering, tooling, maintenance, and quality teams to determine root cause and corrective actions.
Support mold trials, process development, process transfers, and production start-ups.
