Job summary

Award Staffing is seeking a Machine Operator in Brooklyn Park, MN. This temporary, third-shift role offers a pay rate of $19.50-$22.50/hr and requires standing for long periods while operating manual and automatic work centers.

You will follow documented processes, read prints, count production and scrap, and collaborate with a team to meet customer expectations. Safety, quality, and accurate documentation are essential daily responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• Previous production experience required.
• Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
• Basic understanding of scales and other required measuring equipment.
• Knowledge of a variety of injection molding presses.
• Understand how to read a print.
• Paulson Molding Fundamentals 1 & 2 completed.
• Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them in a timely manner; ability to make decisions.
• Ability to run a manual work center and maintain cycle; tend to multiple automatic work centers; count and report production and scrap as required.
• Walking within the office/shop areas is required.
• Must have correctable eyesight and good depth perception.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds and move objects safely.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team to produce products correctly the first time, on time.
• Follow documented processes and instructions to manufacture products to meet customers' expectations.
• Make effective decisions about part acceptance while operating manual or automatic work centers.
• Accurately count product and label packaging accordingly.
• Document required information using good documentation practices on all company records.
• Inspect and document parts per the Inspection instructions.
• Provide continual input to improve production and engineering development operations.
• Recognize changes in part quality and equipment controls; notify team members of issues.
• Conduct effective shift handoffs to incoming personnel with status updates.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
