Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years processing injection molding experience.
• 3–5 years of supervisory or lead experience; thorough knowledge of safety specifications and procedures.
• Understanding of Quality standards and systems including Statistical Process Control.
• Standing skills necessary to perform mold changes as required.
• Heavy lifting and frequent handling up to 40 pounds.
• Spoken communication skills to lead others.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and evaluate molding process within documented specifications; adjust to maintain quality and production standards.
• Manage the production floor responsibilities including mold set-ups, manpower utilization, material efficiencies and quality evaluation.
• Direct maintenance on primary and auxiliary equipment and coordinate with maintenance staff for repairs.
• Coordinate with Tooling Team to schedule mold maintenance and repairs; improve manufacturing process.
• Provide timely shift-change information and documentation as required by policy.
• Ensure adequate supplies on hand and reorder as needed.
• Ensure fair and equitable treatment of employees; coordinate with supervisors and departments.
• Provide performance reviews and drive coaching or disciplinary actions as needed.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping and a safe working environment; follow plant safety rules.
• Train subordinates and maintain good working relationships across the department.
