Job summary

Protolabs in Rosemount, MN is seeking an Operations Project Engineer for injection molding. You will lead complex customer programs from engagement through production, coordinating with Sales, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and cross-functional teams to plan, manage, and execute projects.

You'll develop processes, tools, and best practices to scale production molding, support strategic growth, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; OR bachelor's degree plus 3+ years injection molding experience.
• 5+ years in manufacturing or injection molding technical role.
• 3+ years managing cross-functional projects with a focus on positive customer outcomes.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with customers to identify technical champions.
• Create project plans and manage production programs end-to-end.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to deliver programs.
• Develop documentation and software tools to support planning.
• Own communication to leadership on status of production pipeline.
