Job summary

Nordson EFD is seeking an experienced engineer to support production and product design for injection molded components. The role focuses on maintaining manufacturability and reliability, performing root-cause analysis, and leading engineering support for quality issues in the manufacturing process.

The candidate will redesign components for long-term reliability, coordinate with tooling engineers, and ensure production-ready documentation and specifications are met.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years experience in production support/product design with injection molded parts/assemblies.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and/or perform activities related to ensuring injection molded components or system assembly functionality and manufacturability after a product’s release to market.
• Redesign/modify components/systems to ensure long-term manufacturing reliability.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolution of customer complaints where engineering support is required.
• Provide engineering support and leadership to address product quality issues in the manufacturing process.
• Maintain/improve existing product designs in support of manufacturing activities.
