# Injection Mold Tooling ManagerHot Jobfitchburg, MA 01420## OverviewSalary Range$110,000.00 - $145,000.00 Salary/year## Injection Mold Tooling Manager### ***Hands-On Mold Making & Tooling Expert*****Fitchburg, MA | $110,000 - $145,000+** **$7,500 Sign-On Bonus | Relocation Assistance Available**## Experienced Mold Makers: Take the Next Step Without Leaving the Bench BehindMicron Solutions is conducting a **nationwide search** for an experienced **Injection Mold Tooling Manager** to provide hands-on technical leadership for our injection molding tooling operations in Fitchburg, Massachusetts.**You do not need to currently hold a Manager title to be considered.** We are looking for a **mold-making expert first**, someone who has built their career working hands-on with injection molds and is ready to expand their impact while remaining technically involved.This is not a desk-only management position. You will remain close to the tooling, troubleshooting, and manufacturing floor while providing technical direction and leadership to the Tool Room.Our injection molding operations include presses ranging from **55 to 300 tons**, supporting commercial, engineering, and technical applications.## **What You'll Do*** Serve as the technical expert for **injection mold tooling, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and modification**.* Diagnose complex mold-related production and part-quality issues and drive them to resolution.* Remain hands-on with **mold repair, fitting, assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting**.* Coordinate new mold builds, repairs, preventive maintenance, engineering changes, and outside tooling work.* Review mold designs and provide practical mold-making and DFM input.* Support mold trials, qualification, validation, and production release.* Identify root causes of tooling failures, scrap, and downtime and implement improvements.* Drive improvements in **mold reliability, performance, and tool life**.* Provide technical direction and mentorship to Mold Makers and Tool Room personnel.* Partner with Process Technicians, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Production to resolve tooling challenges.* Prioritize Tool Room projects and ensure critical production tooling needs are addressed.## Qualifications## ***What We're Looking For**** **10+ years of hands-on injection mold making or injection mold tooling experience.*** Extensive experience **building, repairing, maintaining, modifying, fitting, assembling, and troubleshooting injection molds**.* Strong knowledge of **mold construction, components, shutoffs, parting lines, fitting, cooling, venting, ejection systems, and preventive maintenance**.* Ability to independently diagnose mold-related performance and part-quality issues.* Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.* Hands-on knowledge of mold-making processes, including **CNC machining, EDM, milling, grinding, and turning**.* Ability and willingness to remain **hands-on with tooling and troubleshooting on the manufacturing floor**.* Strong technical problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.### **Additional Experience We Value*** Hot runner systems and complex injection mold tooling.* Commercial and engineering-grade thermoplastic resins.* New mold builds and coordination with outside tool shops.* Mold trials, validation, qualification, and new product introduction.* Tool & Die, Mold Making, Journeyman, or Apprenticeship certification.* Experience mentoring or providing technical direction to other Mold Makers.* Medical device or regulated manufacturing experience.## **You May Be a Great Fit If You're Currently a:****Senior Mold Maker | Injection Mold Maker | Lead Mold Maker | Tool & Die Maker | Tool Room Lead | Tooling Engineer | Mold Engineer | Tooling Supervisor****Previous management experience is not required.** Your depth of **hands-on injection mold expertise, problem-solving ability, and ability to lead technically** are more important to us than your current title.## **Why Join Micron Solutions?*** **$110,000 - $145,000+ salary**, based on experience and expertise* **$7,500 sign-on bonus, payable after six months of continuous employment*** **Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates*** Medical, dental, and vision insurance* 401(k) with company match* Paid time off and company-paid holidays* Opportunity to advance into broader leadership while **remaining hands-on with the craft you've built your career around*** Opportunity to make a direct impact on tooling strategy, reliability, and performance### ***Don't Live in Massachusetts?
