Job description

Under the direction of the shift lead or supervisor, the employee performs mold changes, sets up and ensures proper operation of injection‑molding machines. The role requires proper handling of material, molded production, and related inventory control. The candidate must be experienced with manufacturing and material‑handling equipment and be flexible to work overtime on short notice. Training on the first shift may be required before moving to the off shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Must obtain a forklift certification; in‑plant training will be provided.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in injection molding, setup, and processing.
• Good organizational skills, strict attendance.
• Proactive, initiative‑driven and capable of executing job responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of the injection molding process, including set‑up, tear‑down, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and workflow.
• Performs mold changes and fulfills material‑handler responsibilities as needed.
• Uses a crane hoist for mold changes and oversees maintenance of molding machines.
• Implements mold changes and processes molding parameters to achieve quality parts and optimized cycle times.
• Sets up end‑of‑arm tooling for robotic part removal and trimming.
• Uses troubleshooting skills to improve and develop repeatable molding processes.
