Job summary

Battelle seeks an Inhalation Technician Specialist in West Jefferson, OH to provide technical support for inhalation task work and laboratory maintenance within the Biomedical Research Center Aerobiology, Chemical Surety, and Life Science Research inhalation toxicology programs.

The role includes collaboration with study directors, potential supervisory duties, data review and inhalation report writing, and responsibility for equipment validation and logkeeping.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, analytical chemistry, engineering, pharmacology, toxicology, or related field; 3–5 years of industry experience; 7+ years considered.
• Strong oral and written communication; able to work in a team; detail-oriented.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; capable of data review and basic QA.
• Willingness to undergo medical clearance, IND immunization, and security checks.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Support inhalation research programs across Battelle laboratory environments.
• Assist in construction, characterization, and validation of aerosol and vapor generation and sampling systems.
• Perform qualification and validation of laboratory equipment and software.
• Conduct data review and analyses; contribute to inhalation report writing.
• Supervise technical staff as applicable.
• Maintain inhalation equipment and troubleshoot as needed.
• Perform QC review of data for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain logs, reagents, records; support ongoing research programs.
