Job summary

MGP Ingredients in Kansas seeks an Ingredients Operations Manager to drive a safe, high-performing manufacturing operation. You will lead day-to-day plant activities, promote continuous improvement, and partner with Sales, Logistics and R&D to meet customer demand and business objectives.

The role requires leadership to develop teams, optimize OEE, and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards while managing budgets and capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred or equivalent operations experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with ERP systems and Quality Management System (QMS) required.
• 3-5 years of food manufacturing experience plus 3-5 years of management experience; 6-10 years total.
• Understanding of operations of mixers, pumps, dryers, heat exchangers, and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day plant operations, ensuring safety, reliability and efficiency.
• Forecast and schedule production to meet KPI goals and budget.
• Oversee maintenance planning, turnarounds, and equipment improvements.
• Collaborate with Sales, Logistics and cross-functional teams to meet customer demand.
• Manage hiring/training of shift managers and operators; participate in labor relations.
