Job summary

Manpower, Inc. is seeking an Ingredients Technician to join the Wilson, NC production team. The role supports the operations group by initiating and recording actions for the Food Safety Management System and ensuring ingredients and batches meet specifications.

The candidate will manage scheduling, inventory, SAP data entry, and FIFO controls while maintaining sanitation and safety standards in a fast-paced plant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule product staging and batching and train others as needed.
  • Maintain inventory control and report ingredient shortages to department managers.
  • Enter ingredient receipts into SAP and conduct periodic cycle counts and end-of-year counts.
  • Possess forklift certification and operate equipment safely.
  • Prepare and distribute ingredients for production orders per schedule with handling bulks.
  • Ensure FIFO procedures and refrigerate/maintain ingredient integrity.
  • Create purchase orders for ingredients stored offsite and assist other departments to ensure product integrity.
  • Collaborate with Quality on ingredient-related issues and sanitation of equipment.
  • Continuously improve processes in the department.

Our client, is seeking an Ingredients Technicianto join their team. As an Ingredients Technician, you will be part of the productions departmentsupporting the operations team. The ideal candidate will have toinitiate and record actions to support the Food Safety Management System. Ensure that all ingredients and batches conform to specifications before use and assist in troubleshooting department issues which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $17.00
What’s the Job?
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear the required
    personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas (including but not limited to hair nets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard toe and slip/oil resistant shoes, appropriate safetygloves, and seatbelts while operating forklifts)
  • Responsible to adhere to food quality and food safety as per the standard(s) provided by corporate, customer, and/or
    governing bodies.
  • Assist in scheduling product staging and batching and training others as needed.
  • Maintain inventory control system.Report ingredient shortages to Department Managers prior to scheduled production times.
  • Verify and enter all ingredient receipts into SAP.Responsible for inventorying ingredients, including periodic cycle counts, end-of-run counts, and comprehensive end of-year counts.
  • Acquire and maintain forklift certification.
  • Prepares and distributes all ingredients for production orders based on scheduled orders with exceptions of bulkwaters, sugars, alcohols, etc.
  • Ensures FIFO procedures are followed for all ingredients and throughout the department.
  • Maintains and controls refrigerated ingredient integrity.
  • Create purchase orders for all ingredients stored at the outside warehouse.
  • Assist other departments to ensure product integrity throughout production.
  • Collaborate with Quality any issues related to ingredients.
  • Ensure sanitation of all equipment before use.
  • Assist in continuously improving processes.

Education and Experience:
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Strong math skills.
  • 1 – 2 years of experience in a mixing/processing environment preferred.
Working Conditions:
  • Schedule: Weekdays, weekends, afternoon, evenings and overnight may be required. Overtime scheduled asneeded.
  • Environment: Operating in a fast-paced production plant with numerous moving parts. Noise levels requirehearing protection and temperatures can get very hot and/or relatively cold (laboratory and staging area istemperature controlled). The environment is structured and supervised. Specific areas may be temperature
    controlled.

  • Visual/Sensory:This position requires attention to detail, requiring attention with one or two senses at a time.
  • Mental Stress:There is pronounced pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy, or similar demands.
