Job summary

Tyson Foods in Tennessee is seeking a dependable worker for 2nd shift to record data, operate scales, and unload ingredients. You will route materials, conduct basic quality checks, and assist with loading to farms, while maintaining safety and cleanliness on site.

The role requires basic computer and math skills, strong communication, the ability to multitask, and lifting up to 60 lbs (100 lbs with help). Benefits start on hire; eligibility applies for overtime and shift requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ability to accurately record data
• Operate scales and document incoming ingredients through the ticketing system
• Operate equipment to unload feed ingredients and route to storage silo
• Obtain and run quality analysis on required incoming ingredients
• Lift and use hand tools to assist in unloading of ingredients
• Perform minor maintenance duties using hand tools
• Operate loading equipment and ensure correct feed type is loaded and sent to the farm
• Direct drivers to correct loading area based on loading schedule
• Organize/flex task and change priorities throughout the day
• Take Feed bin inventory
• Work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments with exposure to dust
• Work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours
• Work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures
• Abide by Biosecurity Guidelines and avoid avian species
• Maintain good housekeeping
• Communicate to all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors
• Follow Tyson Health and Safety protocols
• Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Stand, Sit, Walk, climb ladders/stairs with sustained activity
• Complete all other tasks assigned by management
