Job summary

Schreiber Foods is seeking a production operator for the 6am-6:30pm 2-2-3 rotation. The role involves weighing ingredients, reading batching sheets, and operating forklifts to support blending and production tasks. Candidates must read and follow GMPs, ensure safety, and work with allergens awareness.

Weekend overtime and reliable performance are essential. The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to policies, and accurate data recording in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Degree preferred.
• 1–3 years knowledge in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must be able to complete and pass Wonderlic test.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to regulations, food safety, and company policies.
• Weigh ingredients for current and future production needs.
• Read batching sheets and prioritize weigh-out needs per customer specs.
• Identify ingredients and allergens.
• Use HIVE system to scan pallets, ingredients, and kitting rooms.
• Record lot codes and product information accurately.
• Retrieve product from freezer/refrigerator using a forklift as needed.
• Maintain clean workspace and follow GMPs.
• Collaborate with Blending position; perform other duties as assigned.
• Follow internal policies, attendance, and productivity rules.

This is a 6am-6:30pm position with a 2-2-3 rotation. A Crew

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Must adhere to all regulations, food safety procedures, and company policies.

• Weigh out ingredients for current and future production needs.

• Accurately read batching sheets and prioritize weigh out needs according to the customer and internal specifications.

• Identify different ingredients including differences in allergens and non-allergens.

• Proper procedures utilizing the HIVE, including scanning all pallets, ingredients, and kitting rooms

• Accurately identify and record lot code, product, and other ingredient information.

• Using a forklift, retrieve product from the freezer or refrigerator, and bring to Blending as needed.

• Must maintain a clean working area and follow all GMP’s

• This position works closely and often interchangeably with the Blending position. Contribute to team effort by performing other duties and assignments as requested

• Abides by all internal policies. This includes GMP, attendance, productivity, etc.

• Other duties at the discretion of Management/Supervisor

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Able to work weekends and overtime as needed

• Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

• Good math skills a plus

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision

• Ability to use RF Scanner/scan gun

• Dependable

• Must be able to lift 50lbs

• Ability to Safely operate material handling equipment, i.e. Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, etc. a plus

Education and/or Experience

• High School Degree, preferred

• 1 to 3 years of knowledge and experience in a food manufacturing environment is preferred

• Must be able to complete and pass required Wonderlic test
