Job summary

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of clinical nursing experience, infusion therapy exposure, and CT RN licensure with active BLS and ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Prior infusion therapy experience strongly preferred.
• Proficient in IV insertion, venipuncture, pump operation, and managing infusion reactions.
• Experience with chemotherapy or hazardous agents preferred but not required.
• Strong background in patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Current RN licensure in Connecticut; BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Administer intravenous medications, chemotherapy/biologic agents, blood products, injections, and hydration therapies per providers orders.
• Monitor patients for infusion reactions and clinical emergencies.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the EHR and maintain a safe clinical environment.
• Collaborate with providers, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient-centered, high-quality care.
