Job summary

Griffin Hospital in Derby, Connecticut, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide infusion center care and support the Wellness Clinic on a 24-hour, part-time schedule.

You will administer IV medications, chemotherapy/biologic agents, and hydration therapies per orders, monitor patients for reactions, educate families, document in the EHR, and maintain a safe environment in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Infusion therapy experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in IV insertion, venipuncture, infusion pump operation, and managing infusion reactions.
• Experience with chemotherapy or hazardous agents preferred but not required.
• Strong patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Administer IV medications, chemotherapy/biologic agents, blood products, and hydration therapies per orders.
• Monitor patients for infusion reactions and emergencies; respond promptly.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the EHR and maintain safety standards.
• Collaborate with providers, pharmacists, and the care team to deliver high-quality care.
