Job summary

Willamette Valley Cancer Institute and Research Center in Corvallis, OR is seeking an exceptional Registered Nurse to join the infusion team. This part-time RN will care for patients receiving infusion therapies; IV skills and oncology experience are a plus.

May float to Albany and Newport clinics as needed; hours are three 8-hour shifts per week, 7:30am-5:30pm. Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy and hydration, assisting physicians, monitoring patient condition, and documenting

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing degree required; BSN strongly preferred.
• Active RN license with Oregon State Board of Nursing.
• CPR/BLS certification required; continuing education encouraged.
• Minimum three years nursing experience preferred; oncology experience is a plus.
• OCN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers chemotherapy and other medications under physician supervision.
• Assists physician with exams and procedures; maintains patient flow in infusion area.
• Monitors patient condition and responds to changes; documents assessments and interventions.
• Prepares and manages infusion pumps; ensures proper documentation and charging.
• Triages calls and provides patient/family education; coordinates with pharmacy and clinic staff.
