Job summary

BrightStar Care is seeking an Infusion RN (RN) to provide IV therapy and vascular access in Bluffton, Hilton Head, and surrounding areas. This role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care in home and community settings, with an emphasis on chemotherapy-related infusions and port care.

The ideal candidate will have PICC/port experience, an active SC/GA RN license, and a minimum of one year of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• When applying, candidates must hold an active RN license in South Carolina and/or Georgia.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required.
• PICC and implanted-port access experience is required.
• IV therapy and vascular access experience are required.
• Home health or oncology experience is preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Current TB test results must be negative or non-reactive.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to work independently in home and community settings.

Responsibilities

• Administer IV infusions, medications, and other prescribed therapies.
• Access, maintain, and de-access PICC lines and implanted ports.
• Start and manage peripheral IVs as needed.
• Assess patients before, during, and after treatments.
• Monitor for complications, infections, and adverse reactions.
• Perform central-line dressing changes and flushing per protocol.
• Educate patients and families about treatments and care.
• Complete accurate nursing documentation.
• Communicate with physicians and the healthcare team regarding patient needs.
