Job summary

BrightStar Care in Bluffton and Savannah is seeking a Registered Nurse / Infusion Nurse (RN) to deliver expert IV therapy, manage vascular access, and provide comprehensive nursing care in patient homes and communities.

The role supports per diem, contract and part-time schedules, with flexible options and a focus on patient-centered outcomes. Ideal candidates have oncology or home health infusion experience and hold SC or GA RN licenses.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in South Carolina and/or Georgia.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• PICC and implanted-port access experience required.
• IV therapy and vascular access experience required.
• Home health or oncology experience preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Current TB test (Negative or Non-Reactive).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently in home and community settings.

Responsibilities

• Administer IV infusions, medications, and other prescribed therapies.
• Access, maintain, and de-access PICC lines and implanted ports.
• Start and manage peripheral IVs as needed.
• Assess patients before, during, and after treatments.
• Monitor for complications, infections, and adverse reactions.
• Perform central-line dressing changes and flushing per protocol.
• Educate patients and families about treatments and care.
• Complete accurate nursing documentation.
• Communicate with physicians and the healthcare team regarding patient needs.
