Job summary

Ventura County Hematology Oncology Specialists in Ventura, CA is seeking an Infusion RN to assess patient health, develop nursing care plans and maintain medical records. The RN will administer chemotherapy and other medications, monitor responses, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• 1 year experience in Nursing required.
• California RN license required.
• BLS and/or ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
• Establish intravenous access via IV and port.
• Administer medications including chemotherapy, to patients and monitor reactions or side effects.
• Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms and/or changes in patients’ conditions.
• Coordinate with healthcare team to assess and plan patient care plans.
• Modify treatment plans as indicated by patient responses and conditions.
• Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.
