Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) - Infusion at St. Charles Hospital to provide patient-centered care and lead clinical nursing interventions. You will assess patients, develop care plans, and administer chemotherapy while ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment across the lifespan.

Requirements include RN licensure, BLS (ACLS as alternative), and ONS chemo certification within 6 months. Prior med/surg or oncology experience is preferred; EPIC EHR training is desirable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associate degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as an RN.
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred; must obtain before direct patient care). ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS.
• ONS Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy Certification required within 6 months of hire.
• One year of medical/surgical or oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessments and creates plans of care.
• Administers chemotherapy and other medications, starts IVs, and manages transfusions.
• Maintains safe, therapeutic environment and responds to changing patient conditions.
• Supports educational growth opportunities for nursing peers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
