Job summary

Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, NE seeks an Infusion Staff Nurse to provide infusion nursing care, coordinate with the care team, and educate patients and families. This role requires an ADN or Nursing Diploma and Nebraska RN licensure or a valid compact state license.

The ideal candidate will hold BLS, with PALS, ACLS, and TNCC/ATCN within specified timelines, and demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• ADN or Nursing Diploma required.
• Effective communication skills required.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork and flexibility required.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or a current compact state license required.
• BLS certification required (AHA endorsed).
• PALS certification required, department dependent.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire or transfer date, department dependent.
• TNCC or ATCN within one year or hire/transfer date, department dependent.

Responsibilities

• Provide, prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care with other health care providers.
• Environment of care may be long term, emergent, critical, acute, interventional, or procedural driven.
• Monitor patient responses and reactions and educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, compassionate treatment.
