Job summary

vTech Solution in the United States is seeking an Infusion Nurse to provide specialized nursing care for IV therapies such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy. You will assess patients, administer medications safely, monitor for reactions, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires WI RN licensing, BLS/ACLS credentials, and an ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card or access within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license; Compact Licensure holders must obtain WI license within 90 days
• BSN preferred
• BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire
• ACLS certification required or obtained within 1 year of hire
• ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card or obtained within 6 months of hire
• Knowledge of IV therapy and vascular access management
• Ability to safely handle chemotherapy and hazardous drugs
• Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and documentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition before, during, and after treatments
• Review medical history, laboratory results, and treatment orders
• Monitor vital signs and patient response during treatment
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other IV and injectable medications
• Access and manage vascular devices including ports, PICC lines, and central lines
• Follow strict protocols for safe handling of hazardous drugs
• Ensure accurate dosage calculations and infusion rates
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications
• Provide emergency intervention when needed
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, potential side effects, and symptom management
• Provide guidance on infection prevention and self-care during treatment
• Support patients emotionally throughout the therapy process
• Collaborate with providers, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals
• Communicate patient concerns or changes in condition to providers
• Document treatment administration, patient responses, and side effects in electronic medical records
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and clinic policies
• Perform other duties as requested
