Job summary

Pacific Medical Centers seeks an Infusion Nurse with Oncology experience to administer chemotherapy, manage infusion therapy, and coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team. You will care for patients with port-a-caths and venous access devices, applying the nursing process in direct patient care.

Required qualifications include a nursing degree or diploma, a Washington RN license at hire, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

  • RN degree/diploma required.
  • Washington RN license required upon hire.
  • BLS certification required upon hire (American Heart Association).
  • Oncology infusion experience preferred; chemotherapy administration experience preferred.
  • 2 years nursing experience; 2 years oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care as an infusion nurse in Oncology.
  • Administer chemotherapy, manage side effects, and oversee infusion therapy.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary team interventions based on assessment findings.
  • Care for patients with port-a-caths and other venous access devices; ensure catheter care and maintenance.

The outpatient Infusion nurse has knowledge of Oncology, chemotherapy administration, side effects, infusion therapy, blood product administration, pain management, knowledge and skills with port-a-caths and all venous access devices. The infusion nurse applies the nursing process in direct patient care and coordinates the interdisciplinary team to intervene according to assessment findings.

Required Qualifications:
  • Nursing degree/diploma
  • Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
