Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Resource Nurse to coordinate and deliver direct care to ambulatory infusion patients at our facility. You will ensure timely documentation and support patients throughout their infusion therapies.

The role requires RN licensure and 1–3 years of experience, with opportunities to collaborate with physicians, infusion specialists, and the care team to optimize outcomes and safety. A comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• RN with broad knowledge of infusion therapies across patient ages.
• Competent in IV therapy, chemotherapy, pediatric injections, and pump operation.
• Able to make evidence-based recommendations to physicians under protocol.
• Strong written and oral communication with patients, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide direct patient care to ambulatory walk-in infusion patients for all therapy types.
• Ensure timely, quality documentation in the permanent medical record for clinical, legal, and reimbursement purposes.
• Participate in clinical activities for patients receiving infusion therapy on continuous pumps; PICC/Midline services; nurse education and specialty drug education as needed.
• Educate patients and staff; review/monitor patient charts and reporting documentation.
• Handle account charging and safety solutions; admit patients into computer systems per policy.
• Assist with billing and inventory; consult ancillary areas as needed.
