Job summary

Amerita, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Production to join our home infusion pharmacy team in a fast-growing provider of infusion therapies.

The role reports to the Pharmacy Manager and involves preparation, labeling, compounding and ensuring regulatory compliance in a production setting. The ideal candidate has an approved Pharmacy Technician program completion, state license, and experience in aseptic preparation.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved/accredited Pharmacy Technician training program.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician license in state of practice.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification as required by state board of pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Helps coordinate patient care activities with Pharmacists, Nurses, access team, and other Technicians.
• Prepares labels, prescriptions and compounding/mixing worksheets and maintains lot numbers, expiration dates and batch records.
• Documents temperature logs, pressure and humidity monitors, and sterility testing in the clean room per USP 797/800; records all activities.
• Participates in branch management, department and inter-department meetings and quality improvement activities.
• Coordinates and schedules preparation of sterile mixtures and home medical equipment orders with Pharmacist assistance.
• Adheres to accreditation, OSHA, FDA, state and federal regulations in infusion pharmacy and home medical equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
