Job summary

Amerita, Inc. is a leading provider in home infusion therapy. We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician/Compounding to join our Pharmacy team as we grow to be a top home infusion provider in the country.

The Technician will report to the Pharmacy Manager of the branch and participate in preparation, labeling and dispensing of pharmaceuticals. Schedule: Monday - Friday 8a-4:30p or 9a-5:30p. We offer competitive pay and benefits including health, dental, vision & Life Insurance, company-paid

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Pharmacy Technician training program.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician license in state of practice.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification as required by the state board of pharmacy.
• 1–3 years of related pharmacy experience in home care or retail.
• At least 1 year of aseptic preparation of infusion-related pharmaceuticals.
• Flexible schedule with on-call evenings/weekends as scheduled.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule sterile preparation with the Pharmacist.
• Complete calculations on product preparation as necessary.
• Compound sterile and non-sterile mixtures using aseptic technique.
• Maintain clean room areas/equipment per policies and USP 797/800.
• Document activities on logs and participate in quality initiatives.
• Adhere to regulations and standards for infusion pharmacy and home medical equipment.
• Log temperatures, pressure and humidity and document sterility testing.
• Other duties as assigned.
