Job summary

AIS Healthcare's Advanced Infusion Care division in Valdosta, GA is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in prescription processing, labeling, compounding records, and delivery documentation.

Under a pharmacist's supervision, you will help ensure safe, accurate, and timely infusion therapies, assist with inventory, quality control, and workflow improvements, and participate in training of new staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• PTCB certification to be obtained within one year of employment.
• Experience in laboratory, healthcare, pharmacy, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, and distribute medications prescribed by physicians.
• Assist with processing prescription orders and generating labels.
• Create and maintain compounding records and delivery documentation.
• Assemble patient supplies, equipment, and medication orders.
• Maintain the pharmacy staging area for clean room preparation activities.
• Assist with insurance verification, scheduling, and work order preparation.
• Accurately maintain legally required records and documentation.
• Calibrate infusion pumps according to established procedures.
• Support pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and other clinical personnel.
• Assist with inventory management and inventory control procedures.
• Maintain pharmacy work areas in a clean, organized, and well-stocked condition.
• Participate in quality control and process improvement activities.
• Assist with training and onboarding of new team members.
• Complete computer-based and administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
