Job summary

Option Care Health, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist with maintaining smooth and accurate pharmacy operations under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.

You will help prepare and dispense medications, manage supplies, and support patient care in accordance with state regulations and company policies. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, successful enrollment and completion of the OCH designated training course within six months, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
• Able to perform basic and intermediate mathematical calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting).
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, formatting cells as currency).
• Basic level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: inserting, rearranging slides).

Responsibilities

• Review and validate basic prescription refills and process according to policies.
• Assist with preparing and dispensing medications and supplies.
• Assist with maintaining equipment through calibration, inspection, cleaning, testing and reporting defects.
• Collect and maintain basic patient information to plan materials and prescriptions.
• Help ensure a positive patient experience by answering basic questions.
• Receives and verifies quantities of incoming supplies; stocks and stores materials; tracks inventory.
• Schedule routine patient deliveries; clean and sanitize surfaces and laminar hood flows.
