Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in a fast-paced home infusion setting in Mobile, AL. You will help with dispensing medications, processing prescriptions, and maintaining equipment under supervision.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, patient service, and inventory management. Applicants should have a high school diploma, basic MS Office skills, and be able to obtain licensure within six months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Review/validate basic prescription drug refill requests and process according to OCH policies and procedures.
• Assist with preparing and dispensing medications and supplies.
• Assist with maintaining equipment through calibration, inspection, cleaning, testing, and informing supervisor of defects.
• Collect and maintain basic patient information for material planning and prescriptions.
• Help ensure a positive patient experience by answering basic questions and requests.
• Receive and verify quantities of incoming supplies and materials.
• Stock and store new supplies and materials; review expiration dates; identify shortages.
• Pick and pack materials and supplies; create tickets; track inventory with data entry.
• Schedule routine patient deliveries.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces and laminar hood flows; organize supplies.
