Job summary

Amerita, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Compounding to join our pharmacy team in a branch. The role reports to the Pharmacy Manager and involves compounding sterile and non-sterile preparations with aseptic technique, in line with USP 797/800 standards.

The ideal candidate has an accredited technician program completion, active state license, and preferably IV certification with 1–3 years of related experience in home infusion or hospital settings.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician training completion is required and IV certification preferred.
• Must hold a registered Pharmacy Technician license in the practice state.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification required per state board.
• 1–3 years in home care, retail, or pharmacy setting preferred.
• At least 1 year of aseptic infusion preparation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and schedules sterile and non-sterile compounding with pharmacist oversight.
• Performs product preparation calculations as needed.
• Compounds sterile and non-sterile mixtures using aseptic technique where permitted by law.
• Keeps compounding and clean room areas clean and compliant with USP 797/800 and policies.
• Documents activities on logs and participates in quality improvement.
• Complies with all regulations and maintains temperature and sterility records.
