Job summary

Amerita, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Compounding Pharmacy Technician for the Infusion Pharmacy. You will prepare sterile mixtures, label and dispense medications under supervision, and ensure compliance with USP standards. The role is full-time with weekday hours.

You will support the Pharmacy team with aseptic techniques, documentation, and ongoing professional development within a growing home infusion provider. Opportunities for growth and a strong benefits package are available.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program
• IV certification preferred
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in state of practice
• National Certification as required by state board of pharmacy
• 1–3 years of related pharmacy experience in home care/retail/pharmacy
• At least 1 year aseptic preparation of infusion-related pharmaceuticals

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule sterile preparation and home medical equipment orders with Pharmacist
• Perform calculations on product preparation
• Compound sterile and non-sterile mixtures (parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, chemotherapy, hydration, narcotics) using aseptic technique
• Maintain clean room areas and equipment per USP 797/800
• Document activities on logs and participate in quality improvement
• Adhere to OSHA, FDA, state/local regulations and USP standards
• Record temperature logs and sterility testing data
• Other duties as assigned
