Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas is seeking an Infusion Pharmacist to support outpatient cancer centers and infusion clinics. This clinical role focuses on chemo preparation and delivery, ensuring safety and compliance while providing Sacred Work to patients and the hospital community.

You will join a team dedicated to high-quality oncology services, with opportunities to advance knowledge and participate in ongoing education and process improvements within the infusion pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from an accredited college.
• 1–3 years of oncology/pharmacy experience.
• IV certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Enter orders into PIS accurately.
• Understand chemo preparation processes for safe delivery.
• Maintain inventory levels.
• Ensure pharmacy licenses are up to date and compliant with laws.
• Maintain knowledge of oncology issues through ongoing learning.

Summary/Objective

The Infusion Pharmacist is responsible for providing pharmacy services to outpatient cancer centers and infusion clinics. This Clinical position requires skills and experience in all processes related to chemo preparation and delivery. The Infusion Pharmacist must support the mission of providing Sacred Work to all who enter the doors of Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas.

Essential Job Duties

1. Must enter order into PIS, ensuring accuracy of the order provided by the physician.
2. Understand the processes used in chemo preparation to ensure safe preparation, delivery and administration of the medication.
3. Maintain appropriate inventory levels at all times.
4. Ensure Pharmacy licenses are up to date and pharmacy is compliant with all laws and regulations.
5. Maintains knowledge of oncology issues through appropriate educational endeavors and personal learning.
6. Have a working knowledge of systems used to retrieve all orders.

Required Education and Experience

• Graduate of accredited College of Pharmacy
• 1 - 3 years of related experience.

Required License/Certifications

• Licensed by Texas State Board of Pharmacy on hire
• IV Certification within 3 months of hire (ie: Sterile Product Preparation Certificate, Sterile Compounding and Aseptic Technique)
