Job summary

Lowcountry Oncology Associates is seeking a Chemotherapy Infusion Nurse to provide safe, compassionate care to patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusion therapies in an outpatient oncology setting. The role includes administering treatments per physician orders, monitoring responses, and addressing adverse reactions under physician supervision.

Qualifications

Current, unrestricted RN license in South Carolina.
BLS certification is required.
Experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is required.
Strong assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care to patients receiving outpatient infusion therapies.
Assess patients pre-treatment and during treatment, including vitals and lab results.
Review treatment plans for accuracy, dosing, routes, and pre-medications.
Identify discrepancies with orders and communicate with the care team.
Safely administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, and other treatments.
Monitor patients for adverse reactions and intervene as needed.
Document assessments and treatments in the EMR.
