Job summary

University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, VT, seeks an experienced Hematology/Oncology nurse for our 32-bed unit. You will care for patients at various cancer stages, administering chemotherapy and supportive therapies while educating patients and families.

Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential. Requirements include active Vermont RN licensure (or compact), ADN, and at least 1 year of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for hematology/oncology inpatients with solid tumors and hematologic malignancies.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and immunotherapies; manage treatment-related symptoms.
• Educate patients and families; collaborate with Physicians, LNAs, pharmacists, social workers, and case managers.
• Support professional growth through CARP and certifications.
