Metro Infusion Center in Prescott, AZ is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to supervise and administer infusion therapy on a PRN basis at our clinic.

The ideal candidate holds an APRN credential with infusion experience, including chemo, vaccination administration, and EMR documentation. You will cover clinics as needed under the direction of the Manager of Clinical Operations, maintaining patient safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• APRN with Nurse Practitioner licensure and relevant infusion experience.
• Experience with IV therapy and chemo administration preferred.
• Vaccination administration is required or recommended.

Responsabilités

• Place and maintain peripheral IV catheters for infusion therapy.
• Prepare medications for IV administration as ordered.
• Administer IV therapy with electronic pump and troubleshoot alarms.
• Document infusion charting in EMR.
• Address patient questions related to adverse effects within scope.
• Use clinical judgment to meet patient care needs.
• Monitor safety of environment and equipment.
• Cover clinic as needed per manager direction.
• Adhere to Standards of Nursing Practice and MIDC policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Metro Infusion Center (Affiliated with Metro Infectious Disease Consultants) is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner for supervision and administration of infusion therapy on a PRN basis to work at the clinic located in Prescott, AZ.

Specific Duties:

• Place and maintain peripheral IV catheters for infusion therapy needs with ongoing assessment of IV site
• Prepare medication for IV administration as ordered
• Administer IV therapy via electronic pump with troubleshooting of pump alarms and/or administration via gravity/dial-a-flow tubing
• Document infusion charting and patient message(s) in EMR system
• Addressing patient's questions or concerns related to adverse effects/side effects, diagnosis, treatment etc. within scope of Mid-level provider
• Uses clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs establishing priorities
• Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment
• Participates in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications with facility
• Agree to cover any clinic as needed per direction of the Manager of Clinical Operations
• Supports professional practice by observing the following: Uses knowledge and practices in accordance with 1) Standards of Nursing Practice; 2) JCAHO, state and local laws; 3) MIDC policy
• Other duties and tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
• Nurse Practitioner experience, preferably in an infusion related setting
• INFUSION EXPERIENCE
• Chemo experience is preferred, but not required
• Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients, including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19
