Job summary

Metro Infusion Center is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner for supervision and administration of infusion therapy on a part-time basis at Tigard and Gresham, OR. The schedule is 3 days per week (24 hours total) with flexibility across locations.

The ideal candidate brings APRN credentials, infusion experience, and a willingness to cover clinics as needed. Chemo experience is preferred but not required, with strong patient communication and adherence to MIDC policies.

Qualifications

• APRN required; Nurse Practitioner experience in infusion setting preferred.
• Infusion experience required; chemo experience preferred but not required.
• Vaccinations up to date including boosters for healthcare workers.
• Compliance with nursing standards, JCAHO, and MIDC policies.

Responsibilities

• Place and maintain peripheral IV catheters for infusion therapy and assess IV sites.
• Prepare medications for IV administration as ordered.
• Administer IV therapy using electronic pumps or gravity/dial-a-flow tubing.
• Document infusion charts and patient messages in the EMR.
• Address patient questions/concerns within the APRN scope of practice.

Metro Infusion Center (Affiliated with Metro Infectious Disease Consultants) is seeking a licensedNurse Practitionerfor supervision and administration of infusion therapy on apart-timebasis to work at the clinics located inTigard, OR and Gresham, OR.

Schedule: 3 days/week (24 hours/week-flexible days); will work at both locations in Tigard and Gresham

Specific Duties:

• Place and maintain peripheral IV catheters for infusion therapy needs with ongoing assessment of IV site.
• Prepare medication for IV administration as ordered.
• Administer IV therapy via electronic pump with troubleshooting of pump alarms and/or administration via gravity/dial-a-flow tubing.
• Document infusion charting and patient message(s) in EMR system.
• Addressing patient’s questions or concerns related to adverse effects/side effects, diagnosis, treatment etc. within scope of Mid-level provider.
• Uses clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs establishing priorities.
• Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
• Participates in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications with facility.
• Agree to cover any clinic as needed per direction of the Manager of Clinical Operations.
• Supports professional practice by observing the following: Uses knowledge and practices in accordance with 1) Standards of Nursing Practice; 2) JCAHO, state and local laws; 3) MIDC policy.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned

• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
• Nurse Practitioner experience, preferably in an infusion related setting
• INFUSION EXPERIENCE
• Chemo experience is preferred, but not required
• Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients, including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19.
