Job summary

IVX Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for the Houston market to deliver specialized infusion therapy in outpatient settings. You will oversee patient care, supervise infusions, assess patients, and educate families in a patient-centered environment.

The role requires active NP and RN licenses, AANP/ANCC certification, BLS, and strong infusion skills, with flexibility to work at multiple infusion centers within the market.

Qualifications

• Active NP license and RN license (state may require).
• Board certification for NP (AANP/ANCC).
• BLS required; PALS preferred.
• Experience in ambulatory infusion centers or outpatient clinics is a plus.
• Ability to care for adults and pediatrics (FNP preferred).
• Strong IV/infusion therapy skills and emergency protocols.
• Proficiency in clinical documentation and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on-site and supervise infusions and injections.
• Conduct patient assessments and document SOAP notes.
• Educate patients and families on treatment expectations and safety.
• Maintain accurate EHR records and ensure HIPAA/OSHA compliance.
• Optimize workflows and assist in chart prep for visits.
• Collaborate with referring providers and cross-functional teams.
• Support operations, inventory, and regulatory adherence.
• Work across multiple facilities within the market as needed.
• Take on additional duties to support patient care and organizational goals.

Full-Time | Monday - Friday + rotating Saturdays | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

What You Will Do

• Provide Direct Patient Care – Deliver on-site and virtual supervision while administering infusions and injections with precision.


• Conduct Patient Assessments – Perform evaluations, document SOAP notes, and monitor treatment responses.


• Educate and Support Patients – Guide patients and families through treatment expectations, potential side effects, and disease management.


• Ensure Compliance and Quality – Maintain accurate records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, review nursing documentation, and uphold HIPAA and OSHA standards.


• Optimize Clinical Workflows – Assist with chart preparation and treatment planning to streamline patient visits.


• Collaborate with Healthcare Teams – Work closely with referring providers and cross-functional teams to enhance care coordination.


• Support Operations and Training – Assist in inventory management, prior authorizations, and regulatory adherence.


• Flexibility and Adaptability – Work at multiple facilities within a designated market as needed.


• Perform Additional Duties – Take on other responsibilities as assigned to support patient care and organizational objectives.

What We're Looking For

• Active and Unrestricted Licenses – Nurse Practitioner (NP) license and Registered Nurse (RN) license (if required by the state).


• Board Certification – AANP or ANCC certification required.


• Life Support Certifications – BLS certification required; PALS certification preferred.


• Clinical Experience – Background in an ambulatory infusion center, outpatient specialty clinic, or similar setting is a plus.


• Ability to Treat a Diverse Patient Population – Must be able to care for both adults and pediatrics—Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) preferred.


• Strong IV and Infusion Therapy Skills – Experience with specialty biologics, medication management, and emergency response protocols.


• Proficiency in Clinical Documentation – Experience with EHR systems and a strong understanding of HIPAA and regulatory compliance.


• Exceptional Communication & Collaboration – Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
