Job summary

IVX Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our infusion-focused outpatient team. This PRN role covers Fridays and rotating Saturdays, providing direct patient care, supervision of infusions, and patient education in a cutting-edge outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate will hold an active NP license and an RN license where required, with board certification (AANP/ANCC) and BLS basic life support. Experience in ambulatory infusion centers and strong EHR proficiency are valued.

Qualifications

  • Active NP license and RN license as required by state.
  • Board certification in AANP or ANCC is required.
  • BLS is required; PALS preferred.
  • Experience in ambulatory infusion centers or outpatient clinics is a plus.
  • Strong IV/infusion therapy skills and emergency response awareness.
  • Proficient in clinical documentation and HIPAA/compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and infusion administration on-site.
  • Conduct patient assessments and document SOAP notes.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment expectations and disease management.
  • Maintain accurate records in the EHR and ensure HIPAA/OSHA compliance.
  • Support clinic operations, chart preparation, and treatment planning.
  • Collaborate with referring providers and cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in inventory management, prior authorizations, and regulatory adherence.
  • Demonstrate flexibility working across multiple facilities within the market.
  • Take on additional duties to support patient care and organizational goals.

What You Will Do
  • Provide Direct Patient Care– Deliver on-site and virtual supervision while administering infusions and injections with precision.
  • Conduct Patient Assessments– Perform evaluations, document SOAP notes, and monitor treatment responses.
  • Educate and Support Patients– Guide patients and families through treatment expectations, potential side effects, and disease management.
  • Ensure Compliance and Quality– Maintain accurate records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, review nursing documentation, and uphold HIPAA and OSHA standards.
  • Optimize Clinical Workflows– Assist with chart preparation and treatment planning to streamline patient visits.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Teams– Work closely with referring providers and cross-functional teams to enhance care coordination.
  • Support Operations and Training– Assist in inventory management, prior authorizations, and regulatory adherence.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability– Work at multiple facilities within a designated market as needed.
  • Perform Additional Duties– Take on other responsibilities as assigned to support patient care and organizational objectives.
What We're Looking For
  • Active and Unrestricted Licenses – Nurse Practitioner (NP) license and Registered Nurse (RN) license (if required by the state).
  • Board Certification – AANP or ANCC certification required.
  • Life Support Certifications – BLS certification required; PALS certification preferred.
  • Clinical Experience – Background in an ambulatory infusion center, outpatient specialty clinic, or similar setting is a plus.
  • Ability to Treat a Diverse Patient Population – Must be able to care for both adults and pediatrics—Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) preferred.
  • Strong IV and Infusion Therapy Skills – Experience with specialty biologics, medication management, and emergency response protocols.
  • Proficiency in Clinical Documentation – Experience with EHR systems and a strong understanding of HIPAA and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional Communication & Collaboration – Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
