Job summary

IVX Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to deliver high-quality infusion therapy in outpatient settings within the North Houston market. The role involves on-site supervision, patient assessments, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care.

You will provide direct patient care, educate patients and families, and maintain accurate EHR documentation while adhering to HIPAA and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted NP license; RN license where required by state.
  • Board certification required (AANP or ANCC).
  • BLS required; PALS preferred.
  • Experience in ambulatory infusion centers or outpatient clinics is a plus.
  • Ability to treat both adults and pediatrics; FNP preferred.
  • Strong IV/infusion therapy skills and emergency protocols.
  • Proficient in EHR documentation and HIPAA compliance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with patients and teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care with on-site and supervised infusions and injections.
  • Perform patient assessments and document SOAP notes; monitor treatment responses.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment expectations and side effects.
  • Maintain compliant records in the EHR; uphold HIPAA/OSHA standards.
  • Help optimize workflows and assist with treatment planning.
  • Collaborate with referring providers and cross-functional teams.
  • Support operations, inventory, prior authorizations, and regulatory adherence.
  • Maintain flexibility to work across multiple facilities in the market.

What You Will Do
  • Provide Direct Patient Care – Deliver on-site and virtual supervision while administering infusions and injections with precision.
  • Conduct Patient Assessments – Perform evaluations, document SOAP notes, and monitor treatment responses.
  • Educate and Support Patients – Guide patients and families through treatment expectations, potential side effects, and disease management.
  • Ensure Compliance and Quality – Maintain accurate records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, review nursing documentation, and uphold HIPAA and OSHA standards.
  • Optimize Clinical Workflows – Assist with chart preparation and treatment planning to streamline patient visits.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Teams – Work closely with referring providers and cross-functional teams to enhance care coordination.
  • Support Operations and Training – Assist in inventory management, prior authorizations, and regulatory adherence.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability – Work at multiple facilities within a designated market as needed.
  • Perform Additional Duties – Take on other responsibilities as assigned to support patient care and organizational objectives.
What We're Looking For
  • Active and Unrestricted Licenses – Nurse Practitioner (NP) license and Registered Nurse (RN) license (if required by the state).
  • Board Certification – AANP or ANCC certification required.
  • Life Support Certifications – BLS certification required; PALS certification preferred.
  • Clinical Experience – Background in an ambulatory infusion center, outpatient specialty clinic, or similar setting is a plus.
  • Ability to Treat a Diverse Patient Population – Must be able to care for both adults and pediatrics—Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) preferred.
  • Strong IV and Infusion Therapy Skills – Experience with specialty biologics, medication management, and emergency response protocols.
  • Proficiency in Clinical Documentation – Experience with EHR systems and a strong understanding of HIPAA and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional Communication & Collaboration – Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
