Job summary

UW Medical Center – Northwest is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Outpatient IV Infusion Unit in Seattle. This 60% FTE position offers day shifts with weekend coverage and entails IV placement, patient monitoring during infusions, and post-infusion care.

You will document care in the EMR, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective infusion therapy for patients with chronic inflammatory and immune-mediated conditions.

Qualifications

• Current infusion nursing experience required.
• Strong IV skills and familiarity with IV medications and blood products.
• Active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients for IV medications and infusion suitability.
• Place IVs and monitor patients during infusions.
• Document all procedures in the Electronic Medical Record and provide patient education.
